Basic overview of VA Benefits offered by the Department of Veteran Affairs, namely: the National Cemetery Administration (NCA), the Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA), and the Veteran Healthcare Administration (VHA). Special emphasis will be given to the recent PACT Act presumptions for VBA (signed into law in the summer of 2022) and updates to VHA related to the PACT Act that were implemented on Tuesday March 5, 2024. This update to VHA now allows for all Veterans who were exposed to toxins and other hazards while serving in the military – at home or abroad – eligibility to enroll directly in VA health care. Brief discussion of Professional Responsibility/Ethics/HIPAA.
